  • Informative presentation on the basics of sensory processing and why successful sensory integration is so important for learning and behavior.
  • Hands on activities to better understand what it feels like to struggle with sensory processing.
  • Loads of practical tips and strategies on how to help all kids cope with sensory processing difficulties, especially those that impact daily life such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and eating.

TEACHER TRAINING: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STRATEGIES FOR THE PRESCHOOL CLASSROOMS
  • Informative staff development opportunity that presents an overview of sensory processing and handwriting readiness skills for preschoolers.
  • Content will include an explanation of how a proper pencil grasp pattern develops, what writing and coloring tools are best to use for children of various ages, tips on how and when to introduce handwriting, and how to best physically prepare children for handwriting tasks down the road.
  • Practical and easy-to-implement classroom strategies to help students with sensory sensitivities and tips to modify your environment, schedule, and routine to help children of all abilities will be covered.
